Sennheiser HD428 Review - A Closed Circumaural Hi-Fi Headset

The Sennheiser HD428 are a good value for the price but are not perfect. These are the most comfortable pairs of headsets I've ever owned. The pads are so soft that I completely forget I'm wearing them on my heads. And I like the way that they fit my ears. They are lightweight so they won't cause headaches. I do not feel any discomfort after long hours gaming session. Many Reviews say that they are more expensive than they expected. At $72 they are acceptable, I think. These headsets sound good even without a amplifier. Classical music sounds quite good, and pop music sounds perfect, with plenty of bass. But I think you can find better headsets which have crisp and impressive bass, if you pay $70 -100 for these. The cord is very thin, and tangle easily. It is as thickness as earphone wires.

Pros:
1. The price. Under 100 dollars, honestly speaking, it is not so expensive as reviewed.
2. Sound quality. Pretty good but not perfect, I really like to use the headsets to listen to music,  but everyone's ears are not the same.
3. The comfort. They feel not heavy and are comfortable to wear even if you have a big head. There are some reviews say that they are a little tight for their heads, but I don't feel any discomfort.
4. Noise cancelling. The headsets are "closed", which prevents the noise around you leaking in, that's pretty good for listening to music. Of course, on the contrary, you may lose yourself in the music when someone wants to talk to you.

Cons:
1. The cord. The cord could be made better.

All in all. Sennheiser HD428 is a good deal for the price. I'm pleased with these headsets. I wrote this review to recommend it to people who want a good Hi-Fi headset for listening to music.
